How can I use recent photos from Flickr for modeling tourism?

Hi everyone,

I understand that the Visitation: Recreation and Tourism model relies on Flickr images from 2005 - 2017 to learn about visitation patterns. Suppose I want to apply the model in a current study on tourism how do I use my own images to derive the visitation patterns for the model for years after 2017?

Hi @Edudzi , if you have collected the metadata from more recent images, you can calculate the photo-user-day metric according to how it is described in the User’s Guide, which also links to a paper (Wood et al. 2013) that also describes the approach.
