Potential damage loss - UFRM model

Hi all,

I would like to know if the UFRM model considers a flood depth damage function. If yes, can I have some information about this topic?

Hi @Charlotte,
The damage estimation does not consider flood depth. The damage loss table values are in currency per area flooded and the model does not adjust these values for depth.

To say it another way, if the entire area was flooded, aff.bld is the amount of infrastructure damage in $ that would be done (not considering depth of flooding).

I just updated the user’s guide valuation section to explain this better as well. Hope that helps!
