Regression results: interpreting negative coefficient estimate

Hi,

I have a simple question regarding the model’s results, specifically about the height variable. How does the model interpret the results in this case? If my height variable is negatively correlated with the visit rate, does that mean that the higher the height, the lower the visit rate? Or does it mean that the lower the height, the higher the visit rate? I have the same question regarding slope.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hi @alcarilu , thanks for posting your questions.

Yes.

Yes.

Negatively correlated – the coefficient estimate for the predictor is negative – means that as one goes up, the other goes down.
