Do you have more targeted recommendations for addressing sediment export and deposition, specifically in East Africa, beyond tree planting?

There are many possible ways of addressing soil loss, which will depend on the context of the place and people. I can provide one example from our work in Kenya, where we considered agriforestry, terracing, grass strips and road mitigation, along with vegetation planting. You can also look at WOCAT’s Global Database on Sustainable Land Management, which lists many management practices around the world, and provides details about their implementation.
