The NDR model output is wrong

Hello, everyone. Why does the NDR model output in the investment model_ Surface_ Incomplete display of export results?

Hi @mia -

What seems incomplete about it to you? If the white areas do not have data, and that’s what you’re wondering about, check to see if they correspond with the stream.tif model output. Our routed water models generally don’t provide output in streams, since no in-stream processing is done, so the models move water downslope only until they hit a stream, then stop calculating.

The flow model display is complete, why is this?

Hi @mia -

Is this second map the stream.tif model output? If so, you can see that the streams are defined where stream.tif has a value of 1. Anywhere the streams have a value of 1, the export results are NoData, because the model does not calculate nutrient within the stream network.

What does that have to do with incomplete boundaries? How should we solve it?

Maybe I don’t understand what you mean by “incomplete boundaries”. Can you post an image showing the boundaries that you expect, along with the boundaries that the model is producing? For example, is the model not producing results within the entire watershed that you’re providing as input? If so, post a map showing the watershed boundary with the model results so we can see the difference.

This is the boundary of the model results

This is the boundary I want

It looks like there is data missing in different areas around the edge of the watershed. Please check out the User Guide section Defined Area of Outputs and see if that explains the missing data. Note that it contains a link to the SDR chapter, with more information.
