Are there online training options with accredidation?

Dear Emily,

I am a PhD student at the University of Buenos Aires, and I would like to use Invest in an urban context, to evaluate different urban development scenarios along the watershed of a piped stream in the city of Buenos Aires.

I have been looking for online training courses or seminars to deepen the use of the program that I could also accredit as part of my training. For now I found the one offered by EdX: https://www.edx.org/learn/natural-sciences/stanford-university-introduction-to-the-natural-capital-project-approach
Is it the right course? Are there other training options?
thank you very much for your attention.

Sincerely
Maria Leveratto

Welcome to the forum @marialeveratto . I moved your post to a new topic in the “Training” category.

Perhaps @swolny can address your question directly? Thank you!

Hi @marialeveratto -

It sounds like you’re looking for training that specifically includes accreditation, and the only thing we currently have that offers a certificate is the EdX course that you’ve already found.

We do have a series of training tutorials, which includes videos about Urban Cooling and Urban Flood Risk, along with a selection of other models. But these do not offer any sort of certificate or credit.

I’ll also note that the technical portion of the EdX course, as well as the training tutorials, are a bit out of date. They were created before we had Workbench, and there have been changes to several of the models’ inputs and/or outputs as well, relative to what is shown in the existing course. So as you’re working through the EdX course, or training tutorials, keep this in mind. We are just now starting to update the training tutorials, and it will take a while before the first ones are released.
