Hello, I wonder whether it makes sense to use the NDR model to evaluate the recycling of N and P from manure in specific dairy farms, where there is extensive grazing. Thanks in advance for your opinions

Hello @evselem -
Since the NDR model is best used for landscape-scale non-point source nutrient sources, I would say yes, it is good to use to evaluate nutrient from grazing. I’m not sure that the model addresses “recycling” though, since the model is simplified, and is really only going to tell you the places on the landscape where more or less nutrient originates, which ends up in streams. So if you’re looking for a model that captures more of the nutrient cycle (like the biomass eaten, turned into manure, returned to the ecosystem etc) then you’ll need a more complex model.
