Can you help us to make a model for InVEST the Urban Stormwater Retention im from philippines and we are desperate on how to make that model and what data we need and we don’t know how to make because our professor didn’t teach us how to make that model, and i see this website and i read many questions specifically when i read about this model from invest were begging to help us because we have until 2 days to make it, does anyone please guide us thank you so po!!!
This is we need to create to RUN the USR in InVEST
Land Use/Land Cover (raster)
Soil Hydrologic Group (raster)
Precipitation (raster)(mm/year)
Biophysical Table (csv)
Even in the best situation, it would be hard to set up a model that you have not worked with before in 2 days. Urban Stormwater in particular has biophysical table values that are not easy to find.
Our User Guide Data Needs section lists all of the input parameters, and the Data Sources appendix provides some guidance for global layers and values that you can use. You can also use our Data Hub to download several of these spatial inputs for your study area (precipitation and land use). They are global layers that are coarse, but are a good way to get started. You can also look at the Sample Data we provide for each model to see an example of their format.
I don’t know what the expectations are for class, but if it is just a matter of getting a first draft of the model working, you could consider using the global datasets, and applying the sample biophysical table coefficients to your land use classes. In general, you should not use the sample biophysical table values for real-world analysis, but they may be good enough as an example for class.
