Hello,
What kind of data is input into the carbon sequestration module to reflect the changes in carbon storage results on the pixel, just like interpolated meteorological data, can the values on the pixel change with elevation or precipitation
Hello @sherry, and welcome!
As the User Guide says at the beginning of the Carbon chapter, the carbon model is extremely simple. The only inputs to the model are a land cover map and data on four carbon pools for each land cover type. It does not consider elevation, precipitation, or any other factor. It also does not model the growth of vegetation over time.
If you want to include something like elevation, you would need to incorporate it into your land cover map. For example, instead of having a single “forest” land cover type, you could define multiple forest types as “forest - 0-1000 meters elevation”, “forest - 1000-2000 meters elevation” etc. Then, you would need to provide carbon pool data for each of those different forest classes.
