Attribute Error 'Pandas' object has no attribute 'path'

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble running Coastal Vulnerability model, I keep getting error titled “Attribute Error encountered: ‘Pandas’ object has no attribute ‘path’ ".
I have no clue what does it means? My lecturer told me it’s because something wrong on my directory folder so change my directory folder but I still got the error message.

I’m very new at this, I really appreciate it if someone could manage to give me some help.

Thank you so much,
Sarah

Hi @skhnnsa, could you double check that your habitat CSV input has a column named path? And that it is generaly formatted like the example in the User’s Guide: http://releases.naturalcapitalproject.org/invest-userguide/latest/coastal_vulnerability.html#data-needs

If that doesn’t work, could you also upload the CSV and we can take a closer look?

Best,
Dave

Hi Dave, thank you so much for your response! I have fixed my table and I’m glad it works but now it says ‘TypeError: not a string’.

Hi @skhnnsa -

The error seems to be happening while processing the bathymetry. Your bathymetry input has a file extension of “.nc” - is this a NetCDF file? or something else? It may not be a raster file type that InVEST supports. Try exporting it as a GeoTIFF and see if that helps (InVEST supports other raster types too, but GeoTIFF is usually easy to try.)

Hi Stacie, thank you so much for your response!
Yes, it is a NetCDF file. I converted my file to a GeoTIFF format and I’m glad it finally works!

Thank you so much for your help,
Sarah
