I noticed with the release of InVEST 3.13.0 that the GLOBIO model has been deprecated. However, I haven’t been able to find much documentation regarding why that decision was made. Could someone please speak to why it has been deprecated? I know it could be used via an older InVEST build, but I’m just curious about what motivated that decision.

The primary reason we deprecated the InVEST GLOBIO model is that it’s been made obsolete. The developers of the GLOBIO model have released their own open-source code and command-line tool, available here, and also a web viewer. We recommend using these official GLOBIO tools as they should be more correct and up-to-date that what we used to provide.
