Finfish_aquaculture Model not availabe in User’s guide

What is the issue or question you have?

I would like to ask for the reason why the documentation and sample data of the finfish_aquaculture model was taken from the inVest user’s guide? Is there a problem with the model or is there another reason?

Hello @xiaofenbai -

The Finfish Aquaculture model was deprecated (is no longer being provided or supported) a few years ago for a combination of reasons:

  • very few people used it
  • it was very difficult to parameterize
  • we no longer had a science lead at NatCap to support it
  • it was excessively complex and difficult to maintain from a coding point of view

We are a small team, and need to focus our resources carefully.
