The new Stanford layout is nice but the links pointing to the old pages --from the user guide and Chaplin-Kramer et al. (2019; appendix) – are broken. Is it possible to retrieve that information somehow?
Hi @proma,
Unfortunately, there are always issues with migrating to new websites. Could you post the URLs here that you were hoping to access? It’ll help us to update our redirect rules and make everyone’s lives easier
Thanks!
James
It is mostly
https://naturalcapitalproject.stanford.edu/2016/04/Nutrient_DB_0212.xlsx
This one is linked both from user guide and the appendix in the article.
I was just looking for that too and couldn’t find it. There’s also a Sediment version of this spreadsheet that used to be available on the website and should be again. Thanks!

Thanks - I was recently looking for that database as well, so it will be great to have it back online!
On a related note, it looks like the new site has a very limited selection of recent builds available (http://releases.naturalcapitalproject.org/?prefix=invest/), and no versions of the user manual from previous versions? With an living, online manual it’s important to have older versions still accessible as reviewers make assumptions/have questions about the models that may have changed in the most recent versions, so it’s problematic if the old versions are inaccessible. In my case I’m fairly sure that the section on selecting threshold flow accumulation values for the SDR model has changed, and I’m trying, currently without success, to find how this was described at the time I ran my model using InVEST 3.3.3. Thanks!!
@swolny, @proma, @kjbagstad, I’ve just re-added these tables to the InVEST download page (https://naturalcapitalproject.stanford.edu/software/invest).
@kjbagstad, If you’re using InVEST on Windows, you’ll find that there’s a build of the InVEST User’s Guide in your installation directory under the documentation
folder. In fact, every Windows InVEST distribution since InVEST 2.2 or so has included a complete copy of the InVEST User’s Guide. The mac builds included User’s Guide builds later on.
More generally, @kjbagstad, we do intend on having a more replete archive of our builds and user’s guides online, but this is a low-priority task for us and we don’t have the staff to make this happen right now.
And by the way, the InVEST 3.3.3 User’s Guide is, in fact, available online, just not clearly navigable. http://data.naturalcapitalproject.org/invest-releases/3.3.3/userguide/index.html
@jdouglass thanks for that link! That’s the one I was thinking of but couldn’t find the link to on the new webpage.
